Abstract

This article aims to discuss the work done by the team of the Jovem Pesquisador FAPESP project "The theoretical legacy of Waldisa Russio for International Museology" from Russio’s archive. The project's main objective is to research and disseminate the theoretical legacy of professor and museologist Waldisa Russio Camargo Guarnieri, which was somehow erased and forgotten by most of the museological field after her death in 1990. Another goal is to process the personal collection with the intention of providing new sources for research on the museologist herself, on museology in Brazil and in the world in the 1970s and 1980s, and on the museological institutions in which Waldisa participated.
