SOCIAL ISSUE, FAMILIES AND CURRENT CHALLENGES IN SOCIAL SERVICE

Abstract

It is known that the object of intervention of the Social Worker is characterized by acting  and identifying the expressions of the Social Question of the capitalist mode of  production. Thus, by specifying the family in contemporary times, it is reflected on the  most complex determinations and meanings that it has for our society. According to the  transformations of individuals and time, the concept of family was formerly totally  contrary to what we observe today, however contradictions still persist regarding the  subject. The social prejudices that permeate our sociability, for example, are the sult of  a daily life that reproduces the patriarchy and machismo characteristic of the prevailing contradictions. This way, the Social Work acts with proposals of interventions that have  the objective to reduce the economic and social inequalities and other actions consistent  with the professional Political Ethical Project and also with its Code of Ethics Of 1993.
