WORK OF THE SOCIAL WORKER IN STUDENT ASSISTANCE: ANALYSIS OF THE KNOWLEDGE PRODUCTIONS OF THE GRADUATE PROGRAMS IN SOCIAL WORK IN THE SOUTHEAST REGION

Abstract

O  The article brings an excerpt from the doctoral thesis entitled "The work of the Social Worker in Student Assistance: knowledge production in the Graduate Programs in Social Work in the Southeast region of Brazil", which aimed to analyze the particularities of the work of the social worker in the implementation of the student assistance policy, based on the knowledge productions of the master's dissertations and doctoral theses of the Graduate Programs in Service Social Programs in the Southeast region of Brazil from the opening of these programs until 2017. The methodology used was that of bibliographic research, enabling the mapping of knowledge productions related to the theme studied. The results revealed that the work of the social worker continues to be precarious with the attendance of a selective and fragmented educational public policy.
