Abstract

This paper aims at analyzing how the discourse of the rapporteur from the 6.787/2016 Law Project’s Special Commission helped the Labor Reform to acquire the Brazilian society’s acceptance and to maintain itself as one of the central themes in the government’s agenda. The methodological route consists of an exploratory research of qualitative nature, making use of the procedures related to bibliographic and documentary research, along with discourse analysis of French strand. The obtained results demonstrate the existence of a discourse with ideopolitical and socioeconomic dimensions correlated to the adequacy process, in Brazilian reality, to the notion of labor rights, in the neoliberal context, which hides the counter-reformation process in that system of protection, against the need of modernizing the labor relations.
