THE MANAGEMENT IN PUBLIC HOSPITALS AND THE ROLE OF MANAGERS OF SOCIAL SERVICE

Abstract

It is this writing of an essay, the fruit of bibliographical research, as well as observations and initial discussions which has been waged in the doctorate in Social Policy. The goal is to think like the changes that have occurred in the everyday life of the modes of management of hospitals, which are in line with current health policy in Brazil, impact the role of leadership/coordination of Social service teams and favour processes that contribute to the strengthening of the hegemonic model of health at the expense of "SUS historic" and Constitutional. Advocates that this influence, it causes contradictions and tensions, just demanding several requests to the/social workers, in management positions of teams, which are related to the request for productivity, for targets, for immediate responses, attuned to the managerial aspects of management (such as effectiveness, efficiency, targets among others). Contacted if, through bibliographical research, that to meet these requisitions, the professionals need to re-define its activities and actions, based on the design of democratic and participatory management contained in the Federal Constitution of 1988. And above all, be by reference, health, a public, universal and system of quality, which reinforces the existing values in the political and ethical project in wrestling category.

Assistente Social graduada pela Universidade Federal Fluminense - UFF/Campos dos Goytacazes-RJ (2000). Pós-graduada em Gênero e Saúde (UFF- 2002). Mestre em Serviço Social pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro - UERJ (2006). Doutora em Política Social (UFF/2014).
